Meet Tawnya Lichtenwalter
Tawnya started showing dogs in 4-H when she was seven years old. At eight, she and her first "show dog" walked in the AKC show ring. Tawnya showed in the Jr. Showmanship for ten years, ranking third in the nation for showing shelties. She also showed Joey in Obedience. The team went on to achieve a Utility Dog Title.
Tawnya continued to show off and on in the breed ring, as well as watched her mom train in obedience and become a high in trial trainer with her shelties.
Last year Tawnya and her husband Bob bought a yellow lab puppy. After her cousin gave her the book "Marley and Me", Tawnya was inspired (panicked) to get Bella into training. Amazed by Bella's willingness and ability to learn, Tawnya has set her sites on an Obediecne Trial Championship for her and Bella. While training for competition, both Bella and Tawnya are keeping it fun and enjoyable, meaning both gets lots of cookies, learn other fun things like tricks and clicks, and play lots and lots of BALL.
